About the Role:

Enthusiastic pediatric dentist to provide comprehensive dental care tailored specifically for children and adolescents. Your role is critical in diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental issues unique to younger patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained from early childhood through their teenage years. You will create a welcoming and comforting environment to alleviate anxiety and foster positive dental experiences for children and their families. Collaborating closely with parents and caregivers, you will educate them on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the long-term dental health and well-being of the pediatric population in the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program or equivalent specialized training.
  • Valid state dental license to practice in Florida.
  • Certification in sedation dentistry and nitrous oxide administration.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric dental care, orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and prosthodontics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board certification in pediatric dentistry.
  • Experience with advanced sedation techniques and behavior management for pediatric patients.
  • Familiarity with the latest dental technologies and digital imaging systems.
  • Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare environment.
  • Continuing education certifications related to pediatric dental specialties and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments for pediatric patients to identify oral health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including restorative, preventive, and orthodontic care.
  • Administer sedation dentistry and nitrous oxide as needed to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Perform specialized pediatric dental procedures such as teeth whitening, prosthodontics, and orthodontic interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care to promote lifelong healthy habits.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry techniques and technologies through continuous education.

Salary : $25,000 - $300,000
