Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic

Aaron Leasing, Inc.s a specialty underground construction company located in York Pennsylvania.

We are seeking experienced **Heavy Equipment /Truck Mechanics** to join our TEAM.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 4:00PM at the shop located in York PA but could require a Saturday or Sunday depending upon equipment needs. The position would require travel to jobsites within a 4 - 6 hour radius from the shop, not every day, to perform services / repairs as required.

**Basic Job Functions**

• Inspecting heavy construction equipment, attachments, heavy trucks, and trailers for proper performance, and to detect faults and malfunctions
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
• Overhauling major components like engines and transmissions, and using diagnostic tools
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• State Inspection of vehicles / trailers
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Travel to jobsites to perform services / repairs as required
• Accurate record-keeping of all work performed.
• Adherence to mandated safety procedures.
  
  

**Key Responsibilities**

• Previous Heavy Truck and / or Equipment Experience is preferred.
• Diesel experience a MUST
• Must Have Own Tools
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanic
• CDL A Preferred
• Inspection License Preferred
• Clean Driving Record
• Welding Ability Preferred
• Manage time effectively/Self motivated
