Job Description
We are seeking energetic, multi-tasking, organized, personable and hardworking master or Senior Master level Ford technicians to provide high-quality vehicle maintenance, service, and repairs. Technicians may work independently or in a team environment in providing exceptional vehicle service to customers, while being mindful of the control of costs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies
- Perform some more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication
- Based upon certification level, perform various repairs and maintenance which may include: diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing automatic and manual transmissions, transaxles, transfer cases, clutches, differentials, torque converters, valve bodies, and related drivetrain components; performing transmission fluid services and preventative maintenance; diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and drivability concerns using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment; completing warranty and customer-pay repairs; conducting vehicle inspections and road tests to verify repairs; utilizing specialized transmission tools and equipment; accurately documenting diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and labor operations; and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.
- Keep shop area clean and tidy
- Perform work in accordance with safety standards
- Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations
- Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
Qualifications
- GM Certification is REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED; will consider 3 years of related work experience in lieu of a High School Diploma or GED
- 3 - 5 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Valid CA driver’s license and safe driving record required
- Requires some A.S.E. Automotive or Truck Certification or other related certifications
