Job Description
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and dedicated caregiver to provide high-quality care, routine assistance, and companionship for an elderly female family member in South Hill, VA. The ideal candidate will ensure her comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the day, maintaining a respectful and nurturing home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Safely administer, schedule, and track daily prescribed medications.
- Mobility Assistance: Support with transfers, positioning, and general movement around the home (requires physical capability for some lifting).
- Personal Care & Companionship: Assist with daily routine tasks, personal care needs, and provide engaging, patient, and respectful interaction.
- Safety Monitoring: Maintain a watchful eye to ensure a safe environment and minimize fall risks during shift hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Core Traits: Must be exceptionally kind, compassionate, and patient with a genuine heart for elder care.
- Physical Stamina: Physically capable of performing transfers and comfortable with partial lifting or weight-bearing assistance.
- Dependability: Punctuality, strong organizational habits, and reliable attendance are absolute requirements.
- Background: Prior experience in caregiving (formal or informal family care) is highly preferred. References will be requested
Schedule:
- Weekdays: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Weekend: Every other Sunday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
