The Sr. Software Specialist will work as the member of a team that designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots, and supports UI and API features for web and mobile applications using technologies such as Angular, Node.JS, TypeScript, React, and Java (SpringBoot). This role can include but is not limited to creating new web and mobile applications, creating new APIs/orchestrations, and troubleshooting, supporting, and enhancing existing APIs/orchestrations, web, and mobile applications.
What you will be responsible for:
- Develop and test web and mobile applications using Angular, TypeScript, Node.js
- Develop and test APIs and/or API orchestrations using Java (SpringBoot)
- Work with web service and database development teams
- Follow and help implement change management, source code management, CI/CD practices, and support DevOps initiatives
- Participate in all the steps in the software development life cycle to create and modify software, following Agile methodologies
- Ensure well-written, testable, and high-quality code is produced
- Peer review code written by other developers
- Perform testing of code/projects to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness to achieve desired results
- Resolve issues affecting project scope, quality, effort, risk, and timeline
- Support business and product management teams to design, build, and maintain a robust platform
- Support the evaluation of emerging technologies and usage of platform components
- Work independently as part of an Agile SCRUM team, balancing the need for rapid delivery with the sustainability of developed applications
- Ensure success of application performance by coding to best practices, meeting enterprise-class non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, and scalability
Qualifications
What you need to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years’ work experience with JavaScript and relevant software development frameworks
- 2 years’ work experience with Java building backend/API systems
- Experience with HTML/CSS (SCSS)
- Experience with browser, mobile and server JavaScript runtime environments (Node 8 , NVM)
- Experience with browser, mobile and server JavaScript frameworks (Angular2 , TypeScript)
- Experience with Zshell (Bash)
- Familiar with Azure App Services and related Azure components
- Familiar with OpenID connect
- Familiar with REST/JSON technologies
- Familiar with Git source control – e.g. BitBucket, Azure DevOps, or Github
- Awareness of Service Oriented Architecture and use of cloud-based, software-defined infrastructure
- Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal direction
- Team oriented, action oriented, self-motivated, and delivery focused
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
