Preps and coats the surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller.
§ Follow company policies and procedures.
§ Follow directions and / or instructions, as directed.
§ Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces, as defined by the process assigned.
§ Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with the Quality Management System.
§ Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.
§ Acquire and maintain hand tools, if necessary, to complete work assigned.
§ Clean, disassemble and identify components, with normal supervision.
§ Have a good understanding of blueprints, technical manuals, and planning documents with normal supervision.
§ Apply different type’s conversion coatings and sealants using different types of tools and methods with normal supervision.
§ Work in conjunction with higher grade Mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision.
§ Cleans work area, when required with minimal supervision.
§ Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals.
§ Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision.
§ Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations.
§ Other various duties, as assigned.
- Read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to learn and understand and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- 3-5 years prior aircraft component paint experience
