The Avionics (R&E) Technician I is responsible for effectively performing R&E routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C and D checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detailed knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Understand engineering methodology for systems installations.
- All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years previous aviation / aircraft experience.
- Must have an airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificates, FCC license and/or repairman certificate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions. Frequently: Lifting 40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights
- 4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts. Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry
- 50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
