Network Deployment Technician

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Network Deployment Technician to support Network Infrastructure Engineers during large-scale Network Refresh projects across multiple customer locations in the United States. The technician will assist with the physical deployment of network equipment, material handling, rack installation, cable management, wireless access point installation, and other onsite activities.

• High School Diploma, ITI, Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in hardware installation, field services, material handling, or network deployment support.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and transport network equipment, racks, ladders, and installation materials.
• Basic understanding of enterprise networking hardware such as firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with rack & stack installation, cable management, and structured cabling is preferred.
• Experience using basic hand tools and installation equipment.
• Ability to read and follow deployment instructions, rack layouts, and installation documentation.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office for deployment documentation.
• Willingness to travel extensively across customer locations within the United States.
• Ability to work on ladders and follow all customer and workplace safety procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and working in data center or industrial environments.

• Assist Network Infrastructure Engineers during onsite network deployment activities.
• Receive, unload, verify, and organize network equipment and installation materials.
• Unbox, inspect, and stage hardware for deployment.
• Support rack assembly, rack rail installation, and equipment mounting.
• Assist with lifting and installing firewalls, switches, and other network devices.
• Support Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations, including ladder work and PoE cable routing.
• Pull, route, bundle, organize, and label fiber and copper network cables.
• Transport equipment, tools, and materials throughout customer facilities.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas during deployment activities.
• Assist with inventory tracking, equipment labeling, and deployment documentation.
• Capture installation photographs and support site documentation as directed.
• Follow customer safety guidelines and deployment procedures at all times.
• Support engineers during hardware replacement, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Report damaged, missing, or defective equipment to the deployment lead.
• Assist with packing, removal, and disposal of old network equipment where required.
• Coordinate with the deployment team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
