AAMCO Transmissions is the nationwide leader in transmission and complex auto repair. We’re looking for a Senior Technician for our Newport, OR shop. The right person will be experienced in Transmission R&R, general auto repair, and diagnostics. You don’t need to rebuild transmissions—but if you’ve got electronic diagnosis skills, that’s a big plus. We can provide training in transmission rebuilding if interested.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems
• Help other techs when needed
• Handle general vehicle repairs
• Keep up with new tools, equipment, and repair techniques
• Write up accurate findings so repair costs are clear to the customer
  
  

What We Offer

• Pay: Up to $31/hr (based on experience) at 40hrs/wk bonuses
• Schedule: 4-day work week (Mon–Thurs) → 3-day weekends

What You’ll Need

• At least 5 years of experience as an automotive tech
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional-grade tools for general repairs
• Strong diagnostic skills (mechanical & electrical, including drivability testing)
• Working knowledge of shop tools and safe practices
