Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician - A to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. State Inspection and Emissions Licensing is preferred, which will enhance your ability to perform comprehensive vehicle assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance services including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, tire rotations, oil changes, and other routine tasks.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify vehicle problems.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Complete state inspections and emissions testing as required; licensing in these areas is preferred.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and communicate findings clearly to customers.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role within an automotive service environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and suspension components.
• Preferred licensing includes State Inspection and Emissions Certification or licensing; candidates with these credentials will have an advantage.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
