Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Investment Accountant to work closely with Clearwater Analytics and our portfolio management group to provide excellent support to predominantly insurance company clients. The full-time position is located in downtown Chicago with some flexibility to work remotely under company policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, or analyze monthly and quarterly investment reports for clients using Clearwater Analytics

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards

• Maintain a working knowledge of accounting standards related to investments

• Respond to client inquiries and assist portfolio management team with any reporting needs

• Actively seek additional roles/responsibilities to grow professionally

Job Requirements:

• Accounting and/or Finance Master’s degree or undergraduate degree followed by at least two years of progressive related experience

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role related to fixed income securities 

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices of investment securities, mainly bonds and fixed income securities

• Detail oriented with strong background using Excel, Macros, and VBA.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $75,000 to a maximum of $86,000, based on experience and qualifications. AAM also provides a discretionary bonus program based on firm and employee performance.
