Title: Contract Specialist - Level I, II

Client: Federal Agency

Location: Kansas City, MO

Clearance: Public Trust

Work Schedule: 8a-6p

Workday: Monday – Friday

Job Description:

The Contractor shall provide qualified personnel who can perform acquisition support per the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and all other applicable regulations and policies. Contractor personnel shall perform procurement functions such as:

• Acquisition lifecycle knowledge, IGCEs, cost/price analysis, acquisition planning, milestone integration, business advising, contract performance monitoring
• Procurement document review, policy interpretation, drafting contracts, market research, invoice review, contract closeout, QASP monitoring, post-award admin
• Editing or authoring statements of work, performance work statements, statements of objectives, quality assurance surveillance plans, acquisition plans, and independent government cost estimates
• Selection of types of contract vehicles
• Solicitations and combined synopsis solicitations
• Request for quotes, small business determinations, and set-asides
• Evaluating quotations/proposals
• Source selection, technical and/or price evaluation
  
  

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 24 semester hours in business-related coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Contract Specialist I - must have 2 years of contract specialist experience
• Contract Specialist II - must have 4 years of contract specialist experience
• Must have 6 years of contract specialist experience
• DAWIA or FAC-C Level II or III (Equivalent) preferred
• Possess knowledge of the principles of acquisition planning, pre-award processes, contract administration, and price/cost analysis techniques
• Must be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Possess strong analytical and writing skills
• Proficiency in the use of PRISM or other contract writing tools
• Working knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies
• Ability to perform cost and/or price analysis functions
• Knowledgeable and experienced in electronic media, including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent writing skills and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
