The Difference You Will Make:
Reporting directly to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor, the Foundry Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all maintenance functions that are necessary across the entire foundry floor.
A Typical Day:
- Install and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Including: repairs, maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, diagnostic analysis, and complex electrical controls.
- Wire complicated electrical equipment such as automatic controls.
- Perform diagnostic analysis on multiple numerical control systems.
- General construction maintenance as needed.
- Keep work areas clean at all times.
- Troubleshoot and repair belt systems:
- Tracking of belts
- Adjusting belt skirting
- Greasing of bearings
- Inspection of head pulleys and tail pulleys
- Core Machine Knowledge:
- Thermocouple troubleshooting and replacement
- Pneumatic cylinder repairs
- Natural gas burner system adjustment
- Principles of operation: Molding Machine
- Greasing cope and drag shafts and bearings
- Cope and drag inspections
- Flask seals
- Squareness of flask
- Air compressor and air dryer improvements and repairs
- Apply nitrogen system knowledge
Your Expertise:
- 8 years of electrical or maintenance experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing setting.
- Previous Foundry maintenance experience is preferred.
- Ability to review and understand diagrams, sketches and manuals.
- Knowledgeable with tools and tooling necessary to complete jobs.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail and escalate errors to management when needed.
- Meet physical requirements of daily duties.
Your Location:
This position is onsite, Monday – Friday in Pageland, SC. The current schedule is 10hrs Monday – Thursday, 8hrs Friday with changes likely after 4 – 6months. Relocation assistance is not offered for this role.
