Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network’s school in Aurora, CO, Academy of Advanced Learning, is seeking a DYAD Media Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
Third Future Schools will provide student elective access through DYAD Electives, a specialized experiential learning model for students. This model is designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st-century skills through hands-on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective-style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in media
- Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach
- Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
- Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
- Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
- Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
- Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
- Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
- Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences
- Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
- Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through media showcases, presentations, displays, screenings, or other demonstrations of learning
Qualifications
- Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in media, communications, digital content, broadcasting, or a related field
- Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
- Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning
- Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement
Compensation
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
