Job overview
AAkron Rule Corp is looking for a detail-oriented, fast and effective General Laborer to join our growing Team. This team member provides support in the yard and within the mill. The daily routine will require the candidate to be on their feet nearly 100% of the time and includes walking, standing, reaching. lifting, stooping or bending.
Job Duties
· Ability to setup and perform basic maintenance on wood planner.
· Ability to learn wood drying process for Pine and Bass Kilns
· Ability to learn wood waxing process.
· Ability to set and maintains quality standards for incoming material.
· Inspects product to ensure compliance expectations as indicated by internal Quality Instructions.
· Operates all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
· All other duties as assigned
Skills/ Qualifications
· Basic math skills
· Ability to read calipers and tape measuring devises.
· Ability to learn to operate fork truck.
· Ability to prioritize and execute daily work assignments.
· Understanding of overall customer satisfaction expectations specific to on-time-delivery (OTD)
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and bend frequently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
