Compensation Range: $84,915 - $141,525

About The Role
Maintain all equipment, direct contractors; manage Powerhouse operators as well as keep track of and manage the use of utilities.
Responsibilities
Safety & Environmental Performance
Lead the safety effort by personal example.
Support, monitor and enforce full plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses.
Support 0 contractor accidents during major construction or anytime they are on site.
Identify high-risk safety/productivity issues and help to remedy them.
Adhere to SOP’s and other work procedures as required to assure product quality and consistency to our customers.
Report and communicate with Environmental and Safety Manager to insure compliance in all of these areas.
Work Requirements
Maintain all equipment in safe working order.
Help design and implement any equipment improvements.
Monitor on a daily basis, plant utility usage.
Keep production running and follow G.M.P requirements.
Safety- lock/out tag/out, confine space entry, hot work permits
Be available at all times for any emergency that may occur during or after working hours.
Assist any person with problems or help they may need in any department to maintain production.
Primary H2 plant operator.
Primary contact for contractors.
Prioritize jobs and improvements.
Implement and lead reliability PM Program for your areas
Cost Control
Ensure work is performed with quality parts and workmanship.
Reuse parts and equipment in other applications when feasible.
Implement and maintain Inventory Control Program
About You
Mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of boilers and steam.
Knowledge of Boilers, compressed air systems, cooling towers, hydrogen production, basic vegetable oil production equipment, instrumentation, pumps and various valves.
Knowledge of Ammonia Systems is a plus.
5 years’ experience in building maintenance, utility maintenance and operation
Responsible for ordering parts and managing contractors for utilities
Experienced with and in-depth knowledge of utility systems such as air compressors, water systems (RO, Soft, Domestic), HVAC, WWTP, and with special emphasis on Chillers and Boilers.
