Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tankers, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tankers and refrigerated trailers, to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various truck types, including tankers, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
