Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including assembling food items and maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including blenders, espresso machines, and other small appliances
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems while processing orders swiftly
- Maintain high standards of food handling and safety protocols to ensure customer well-being
- Support cleaning routines, including dishwashing, surface sanitizing, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent in-person service that enhances their experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; culinary or catering experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including weight handling in the workplace
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with operating POS systems for efficient transactions
- Experience with wine knowledge or beverage preparation is advantageous but not required
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
