Doctor of Technology (DTech) Faculty – Computer Science

Belcroft University is seeking qualified and experienced faculty members to teach and mentor students in its Doctor of Technology (DTech) in Computer Science program.

The DTech program is a practice-driven doctoral program designed for experienced technology professionals who want to lead innovation, solve complex industry challenges, conduct applied research, and drive digital transformation. The program combines advanced technical knowledge, applied research, leadership development, and real-world problem-solving.

Position Responsibilities

The selected faculty member will be responsible for:

· Teaching doctoral-level courses in computer science and technology.

· Developing and delivering engaging, practice-oriented course content.

· Mentoring doctoral students throughout their academic and professional development.

· Supervising applied research projects and doctoral dissertations.

· Serving as a dissertation chair or dissertation committee member when qualified.

· Providing timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and research.

· Supporting students in developing research proposals, literature reviews, methodologies, and final dissertations.

· Connecting academic concepts with current technology practices and real-world industry challenges.

· Participating in curriculum development, program assessment, and faculty meetings.

· Maintaining accurate academic records and complying with university policies and academic standards.

Required Qualifications

· An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.

· Demonstrated academic or professional expertise in technology and computer science.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to teach and mentor students at the doctoral level.

· Experience conducting, supervising, or evaluating scholarly or applied research.

· Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds.

· Proficiency with online learning platforms and instructional technology.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience teaching graduate or doctoral-level courses.

· Experience serving as a dissertation chair or dissertation committee member.

· Record of scholarly publications, applied research, patents, professional presentations, or technology-related projects.

· Significant leadership or professional experience in the technology industry.

· Experience developing doctoral-level curriculum.

· Familiarity with hybrid and online education.

· Experience mentoring working professionals and adult learners.

Teaching Format

Employment Status: Part-Time
Work Format: Courses are primarily online, with campus travel required approximately twice per term.
