What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Sales Manager position at AAHOA?
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve revenue goals across multiple product lines, including sponsorships, advertising, and exhibits.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, vendors, and sponsors, ensuring long-term collaboration and repeat business.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand AAHOA’s network of partners and clients.
- Event Sales: Lead sales efforts for AAHOACON, regional conferences, trade shows, and other key events, maximizing exhibitor and sponsorship participation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, events, and membership teams to align sales initiatives with organizational goals and member needs.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage contract negotiations with partners and sponsors to ensure mutual value and compliance with AAHOA policies.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular updates to leadership on progress, trends, and opportunities.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about hospitality industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the hospitality, travel, or event industries.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its key players.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel nationally as required to attend events and meet with clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Experience working with associations or membership-based organizations.
- Familiarity with sponsorship and exhibit sales for trade shows or large-scale events.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
