- Ensure accurate material movement
- Transport fabricated parts using parts carts to the next operation in the fabrication process.
- Accurately record part movement in ERP system to maintain inventory integrity.
- Inspect parts for quality and completeness before moving to the next operation.
- Communicate any discrepancies or delays to supervisors to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Finishing and Cleaning operations
- Perform deburring, polishing, passivation and straightening processes to meet quality standards.
- Perform cleaning operations on raw materials to prepare them for fabrication.
- Inspect finished and cleaned parts to ensure they meet dimensional and surface quality requirements.
- Maintain and clean finishing tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Handle raw materials accurately
- Accurately move raw materials between warehouses using the ERP system.
- Safety operate forklifts to transport materials and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials properly to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Foster open communication, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration while upholding Aagard's values of Winning, Together, Honorably, Passionately, and Positively.
- Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors, representing Aagard accurately and positively.
- Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a degree in related field
- Previous shipping, receiving, and inventory experience preferred
- Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
- Observant with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
- Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. (use two-person assist as needed)
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Ability to prioritize tasks, take action, and be proactive
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Conscientious of meeting and exceeding internal and external customers needs
