Role Description The Insurance Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bel Air, MD. In this role, the Insurance Agent advises clients on appropriate insurance coverage, including personal and commercial lines, based on individual needs and risk profiles. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and generating leads, conducting policy reviews, preparing quotes, and presenting coverage options to new and existing clients. The Insurance Agent manages applications, renewals, and policy changes, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships through ongoing customer service, resolving inquiries and issues, and collaborating with internal team members and external carriers to deliver effective insurance solutions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales and general Insurance knowledge, with the ability to explain coverage options clearly and accurately.
- Experience in Insurance Brokerage and working with multiple carriers to compare products and secure suitable policies for clients.
- Foundational understanding of Finance to discuss premiums, deductibles, and policy terms in the context of clients’ financial goals.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective follow-up with clients.
- State insurance producer license (or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Proficiency with basic office software, CRM tools, and online quoting platforms.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
