What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Counter Associate position at AAFES?
As a Customer Experience Expert in Jewelry/Prestige Make-Up, you will assist customers by identifying their needs and helping them find the perfect piece of fine jewelry with for that special occasion, the BIG occasion, or just to complete their look. You will also help customers find the perfect pair of sunglasses.

As a Beauty team member, your knowledge and passion for the business will come to life in the beauty aisles while you educate and actively engage with customers. So what can you expect as a Customer Experience Associate – Jewelry/Prestige Make-Up at the Exchange?
- Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way
- Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the jewelry counter/prestige make-up area to let them know you’ll be right with them
- Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate pieces that meet the specific need of the customer
- Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while selecting fine jewelry and prestige make-up
- Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation
Job Qualifications
- Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions
- Able to take initiative
- Able to maintain high level of decorum when assisting customers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed
- Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Retail experience preferred
