What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Quality & Compliance Specialist position at AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement)?
We are looking for a Healthcare Quality Compliance Specialist who thrives in structured environments and understands how to navigate internal healthcare systems, workflows, and regulatory processes. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting audits, and ensuring our internal systems and documentation align with all federal and state requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain internal compliance systems and documentation across regulatory areas (HRSA, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, FTCA, UDS)
- Track and analyze quality metrics and performance data using internal systems
- Support audits, site visits, and accreditation by ensuring documentation is audit-ready
- Monitor and document incidents, risks, and patient complaints
- Identify care gaps using EHR and reporting systems and support corrective actions
- Coordinate and track staff compliance training (HIPAA, safety, infection control, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and system efficiency
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership using system-generated data
- Work regularly with key healthcare performance measures, including:
- Experience with UDS (Uniform Data System) Measures, HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) and Internal KPIs
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of experience working with healthcare systems, compliance tracking, or quality reporting
Systems Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR), EPIC or similar systems preferred
- Ability to manage and improve internal tracking systems and workflows
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel proficiency required)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
