What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) position at AACE?
AACE is looking for a mechanical engineer in training with experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design for heavy commercial and industrial type projects. This person will work with the AACE team to develop reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations while being mentored by more senior engineers and designers.
Responsibilities
This role will include the use of specialized load calculation software (Trane Trace 700), proprietary spreadsheet calculations (MS Excel), formatting and editing word documents (MS Word), and producing drawings (Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit). Work will include development of documents from preliminary engineering phase, through design phase and construction. Site visits may be required occasionally to survey existing conditions, client meetings, and/or punch lists during construction. Qualifications
BSME degree from an ABET accredited school.
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
Computer Aided Drafting experience (AutoCAD and Revit experience preferrable).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
