This is a full-time, on-site Chief Engineer role based in Columbus, OH. The Chief Engineer will oversee all hotel maintenance activities to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained property. Responsibilities include managing repair and upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment; responding to maintenance requests; ensuring compliance with safety regulations; and overseeing a team of maintenance staff. The Chief Engineer will also develop and manage maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Experience in managing maintenance teams and coordinating repair projects efficiently.
- Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations in facilities management.
- Proficiency in overseeing maintenance budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or further education in engineering or related fields are a plus.
