SENIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER

AAA Washington is looking for a new Senior Human Resources Business Partner. The Senior HRBP role is responsible for strategically partnering with business units and HR leadership to drive decisions and support company objectives. Additionally, this role provides process improvement across the organization through and HR lens.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of the employee life cycle for the assigned business unit, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, leave management, employee recognition and development, HR processes, procedures, and operations.
Oversees process creation for HR systems and practices, utilizing continuous improvement knowledge, metrics and data.
Collaborate with HR leadership on complex projects such as policy, compensation or systems implementations.
Responsible for analyzing business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
Ensures data integrity of all HR related transactions in HRIS and related systems.
Collaborates with HR leadership to develop recommendations and assists with the implementation of assigned HR program areas and strategies, playing a key role in streamlining HR processes and leading projects as assigned. • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.
Participates in development of strategic plan, annual goals, and performance metrics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; evaluates and monitors metrics to ensure goals and objectives are being met and communicates outcomes.
Responsible for advising and providing guidance to HR team and business unit leaders on complex HR issues.
Provide mentorship and coaching to HR Business Partners on advanced employee relations situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in business, human resources, or related experience.
5 years of progressive experience in human resources.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year in travel or insurance industry preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledgeable in all organizational practices and HR confidentiality standards.
Knowledgeable in MS Office tools and HCM database systems.
Ability to adjust style and approach to suit situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, and simultaneous demands.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, including effective use of listening skills.
Ability to notice discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information.
Skilled in establishing rapport and gaining the trust of others as well as the ability to build relationships for potential business and other positive actions.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Ability to manage multiple projects and requests from various people at any given time and act independently.
Skilled in using appropriate interpersonal styles to relate positively to others and reduce conflict.
SALARY:
Pay Range: $88,026-$101,286 annually

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hybrid work from home and office required
The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
