Position Summary
AAA United States, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations and provide guidance to employees, supervisors, and management.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, compliance, performance management, HR documentation, and policy administration. This position requires a strong understanding of employment practices, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters professionally.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, performance, and workplace concerns.
- Support employee relations matters, including workplace complaints, investigations, disciplinary actions, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with management to address employee concerns and ensure HR matters are handled consistently and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including new-hire paperwork, orientation, employment documentation, and exit procedures, as needed.
- Administer and provide guidance regarding company policies, procedures, and employee handbook requirements.
- Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, state and local leave requirements, accommodations, and other employee leave matters.
- Assist with performance management, including performance improvement plans, written warnings, and other corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with EEO, wage and hour, workplace accommodation, and other employment compliance matters.
- Partner with recruiting and operations teams to support staffing and employee lifecycle processes.
- Assist with workers' compensation matters, and other employment-related requests.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and documentation as needed.
- Assist with audits and ensure required employee documentation is maintained.
- Support HR projects, policy updates, training initiatives, and other department activities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3 years of progressive HR experience; experience in employee relations or a generalist role preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling employee relations matters and confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with an HRIS/payroll system such as Paylocity is preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
