Corporate Aircraft A&P Technician

AAA USA is seeking an experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician to support an aircraft service and completion center in Wichita, Kansas. This is an on-site position, and candidates must be willing and able to work in Wichita for the duration of the assignment. Relocation may be required.

The A&P Technician will perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting on corporate/business aircraft. Candidates must hold a current FAA A&P license and have at least five years of hands-on corporate aircraft maintenance experience. Experience working on Bombardier Challenger, Global, or Learjet aircraft is strongly preferred.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and inspections on corporate aircraft
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems and assist with component repairs
  • Complete work with limited supervision while meeting quality and production requirements
  • Perform and properly document work in accordance with applicable manuals, procedures, and FAA regulations
  • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, mechanical drawings, engineering documents, and technical instructions
  • Assist with scheduled and unscheduled aircraft inspections
  • Operate aircraft ground-support equipment
  • Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, when properly authorized
  • Perform aircraft weighing procedures as required
  • Maintain accurate work orders, labor entries, and maintenance records
  • Own and maintain the hand tools required for the position
  • Follow all established tool inventory and tool-control procedures
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in 5S and continuous-improvement activities
  • Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and within established timelines
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, team members, and other departments

Qualifications

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Minimum of five years of corporate/business aircraft maintenance experience
  • Hands-on experience performing aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of corporate aircraft systems
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Ability to properly document maintenance work in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work-order and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must own and maintain the tools required to perform assigned work
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site at one of the available assignment locations

Preferred Experience

  • Bombardier Challenger, Global, or Learjet aircraft
  • Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, or Cessna Citation aircraft
  • Aircraft service-center or completion-center experience
  • Bombardier enterprise systems
  • Corporate aircraft inspections, modifications, or return-to-service work

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
