What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self Storage Facilities Maintenance Assistant position at AAA Storage?
AAA Storage has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This is a part time position (10-15 hours per week--weekends/on call may be included depending on snow). The pay for this position is $20-$23 per hour DOE.
The Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining the buildings and all outdoor areas of this property in a safe and attractive condition and assist in other types of maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to perform full facility inspections at both of our locations which include cleaning of empty units, disposal of abandoned property and trash, groundskeeping, and snow removal with a 4-wheeler.
- Physical ability to perform such tasks as sweeping, shoveling, lifting, climbing ladders, and lock removals.
- Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance to inspect and make minor necessary repairs to buildings, gutters and doors.
- Be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following tools: hand tools, grips, hammer, grinder, bolt cutters, drill, etc.
- Ability to work independently and a willingness to learn.
- Must be able to speak to renters and maintain good working relations with staff as well as any contractors that may be on-site.
- Good safety habits and a valid driver's license.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
