Job Overview
As a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal indoor climate control for residential and commercial spaces. You’ll be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and boilers. Your technical skills will shine as you troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions that enhance comfort and efficiency.
What you’ll do
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used for future reference.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC field or related mechanical knowledge.
- 3 years of experience in the hvac field
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in HVAC design principles and practices.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems.
- Experience with residential and commercial hvac equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
