Our client, a global leading crypto HFT firm, is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to lead the development of mission-critical trading systems across its global trading platform.
This is a player-coach role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys writing production code while mentoring and leading a small engineering team. Approximately 70% of your time will remain hands-on engineering, with the remaining 30% focused on technical leadership and people management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high-performance trading systems.
- Write production-quality software across the trading platform.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices.
- Work closely with traders, quantitative researchers and senior management.
- Drive technical architecture and long-term platform evolution.
- Participate in system design, code reviews and production support.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building production trading systems.
- Expert C software engineering skills.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and trading infrastructure.
- Experience delivering production systems within electronic trading.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
