Duties
- Assist with surface preparation including taping, sanding, stripping and caulking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply specialized paint using spray guns and other hand tools to achieve smooth finishes on various surfaces (fiberglass, porcelain, tile, acrylic).
- Support restoration work on residential or commercial sites.
- Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols during all phases of work.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute painting and finishing tasks according to project specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for tasks such as sanding, scraping, or minor repairs.
- Navigate company truck to job location independently, after training completion.
- Collaborate with customers and team members to ensure quality results.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of estimating, painting with spray gun, fiberglass repair is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- A valid drivers license, a lean insurable driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening are all mandatory.
- Ability to arrive at work location during training, a company truck is provided to employees after probationary period.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations, including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience or interest in residential or commercial painting techniques.
- Basic math skills for calculation.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), and surface preparation equipment preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on quality craftsmanship; excellent communication skills are a plus.
- Ability to lift <50 pounds, safe handling of equipment, following and understanding all SDS, and ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and ventilation device.
