Caregiver for Your Own Family Member - Funded by Michigan's Home Help Program
Michigan's Home Help program allows family members to get paid to provide care for elderly or disabled loved ones who are on Medicaid.
We are not hiring traditional caregivers at this time, only people who are caring for family and other loved ones
Work when you want. Hours are flexible.
What You’ll Do:
- Help your loved one with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom.
- Prepare nourishing meals and offer feeding assistance when necessary.
- Keep their living space clean, safe, and comfortable.
- Be a steady source of companionship and emotional encouragement.
- Notice and share any changes in their health or mood with healthcare professionals.
- Work together with other family members and care providers to ensure they receive the best possible support.
What We’re Looking For:
- You’re currently providing hands-on care for a family member in need.
- Understanding of the challenges—both physical and emotional—that come with caregiving.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient personality.
- Able to stay calm in stressful moments and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic first aid and CPR knowledge is a bonus.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
