Estimator- Striping and Seal Coating

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Estimator to help launch and expand our new division specializing in Striping, Seal Coating, Extruded Concrete Curbing, and Asphalt Crack Filling. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, developing accurate cost estimates and project proposals, and driving revenue growth across pavement marking, sealcoating, and asphalt maintenance services. The Estimator will review project specifications, site conditions, and drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment needs, verify scope accuracy, and prepare competitive pricing that aligns with project budgets and timelines. All estimates must be precise, consistent, and fully compliant with company standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies and develops new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, site visits, and relationship building.
• Travels throughout Puget Sound to meet with customers onsite, assess project scope and requirements, and obtain field measurements for new and ongoing projects.
• Prepares accurate, detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, and equipment requirements for striping, seal coating, extruded concrete curbing, and crack filling projects.
• Delivers timely proposals and follows up with customers to secure work.
• Builds partnerships and wins opportunities by effectively communicating value, scope, and solutions to customers.
• Creates thorough job packages including scope of work, site maps, material lists, and production notes to ensure a smooth handoff to the Superintendent and crews.
• Collaborates with the Superintendent to confirm schedules, customer requirements, and project readiness.
• Follows project start-up and close-out ensuring all regulatory requirements are met documents are submitted, and the project meets all applicable standards
• Tracks leads, bids, and closed work to maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to secure repeat and referral business.
• Compiles and submits accurate and complete project documentation to ensure accurate billing.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of asphalt maintenance, sealcoating processes, and pavement marking materials and techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills and customer focus approach.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and thrive in a growth-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software, and CRM platforms.
