We’re looking for a strong SDET (Backend / API Automation SQL) to join a high-impact Quality Engineering team supporting complex enterprise applications. If you love building robust automation frameworks and digging deep into APIs and databases, this one’s for you.
Important: This role is only for U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders who are ready to work on W2. No C2C / No H-1B.
Role Details
Job Title: SDET (API/SQL)
Duration: 12 months (extendable based on performance & business need)
Location: Merrimack, NH | Smithfield, RI | Durham, NC
✅ Local candidates preferred, relocation open
Work Mode: Hybrid – onsite every other week (5 days/week during onsite rotation)
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2
Employment Type: W2 referral only
Onboarding Requirements:
Background check, credit check, and drug screening.
Interview Process:
1 round (2nd round only if needed).
Pre-interview technical assessment will be administered before submission.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement test automation solutions for backend / API-driven applications
- Interpret business technical needs to build test strategies, scenarios, and plans
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks & tools
- Apply BDD principles and align with established Quality Engineering practices
- Measure QA effectiveness using key metrics, identify gaps, and improve automation platforms
- Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and standards across the QE org
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 6–9 years in Software Testing / Quality Engineering
Core Strengths: Functional, regression, and end-to-end automation
Required Skills
- Java (strong hands-on programming)
- Backend automation focus
- REST API automation using Rest Assured or Karate
- Strong SQL for database testing & validation
Nice to Have
- CI/CD pipeline integration
- PL/SQL
- Cloud testing exposure (AWS / Azure)
- DevOps mindset, Docker
- Mobile testing & non-functional testing experience
- Ability to guide end-to-end test strategy
