Who We Are: A3 Merchandise is a slightly irreverent but thoroughly professional creative agency in the world of merchandise for Artists, Brands, and Events. We cover it all from design, screen printing, international sourcing, eCommerce marketing, fulfillment, and tour vending. Our team works with our partners and clients to get the best products to their fans.
Position Overview: A key member of the A3 team, the Account Manager will be responsible for developing strategic and profitable merchandising sales strategies for your list of clients while always being on the lookout for new relationships for the company.
Job Duties & Functions
- Integrate artist & event brand identity with merchandise offerings by working closely with artists, managers, and their teams.
- Provide best-in-class service and win artists’ business based on A3’s inherent capabilities in brand development and accounting, management, and technology systems. While ensuring that current artists and their managers are priority, develop and grow relationships with artist managers and artists to win their merchandising business. Work with the management team to target new clients and negotiate new merchandising deals.
- Consult on the development and design of the entire client merchandise line (which includes but is not limited to T-shirts and other clothing, hats, stickers, posters, etc.).
- Travel to concerts and events to understand the customer and stay relevant.
- Provide budget oversight for your list of clients, including meeting annual sales, overhead, and profitability targets. Work to get the best possible price on created or procured products.
- Work with the A3 management team to build a sustainable, growing, profitable business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience coordinating multiple assignments and projects in a deadline-driven environment with an effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
- Basic quantitative skills needed to perform business analysis; familiarity with budgeting principles.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills; outstanding written communication skills.
- Proficiency with PCs and/or Macs; ability to use common software packages and online/mobile applications; ability to learn new software packages and applications as needed.
- Knowledge of effective marketing and sales principles.
- Knowledge of and minimum limited experience with Canva or Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and serve as a confident, effective leader in client-facing environments.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in merchandise sales and account management is a plus.
- Understanding of the artist and event merchandising business.
