Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Project Cost Controls Specialist to support project success through cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will monitor project costs, analyze trends, maintain accurate financial data, and collaborate with project teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project cost reports, budgets, and forecasting reports.
- Track labor costs, equipment, subcontractor expenses, and project performance.
- Support change management, including change orders and budget revisions.
- Perform cost analysis, audits, and data validation to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with earned value management (EVM) and monthly cost forecasting.
- Coordinate with procurement, payroll, billing, and project management teams.
- Monitor project risks and recommend cost-saving solutions.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in project controls, cost management, or project management (EPC, construction, or oil & gas industry preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Experience:
- project controls: 5 years (Preferred)
- Oil and Gas Industry: 5 years (Preferred)
- EPC : 5 years (Preferred)
