Box Truck Driver

Position Summary

Job Status: Full-time

Job Location: Tacoma, 102nd St. S and Steele

Job Schedule: Mon. - Fri. 7am - Until Route Is Complete, Saturday (start times vary based upon routes).Overtime is Mandatoryand not optional.

Job Pay: $22.00

A2Z Workforce is currently hiring multiple skilled Box Truck Delivery Drivers. We are looking for qualified candidates who are responsible, can fulfill their assigned schedules, and are team players. These are Direct Hire Positions.

What You'll Do

Driving

• Drive a parcel, cube van, or box truck up to 26,001 pounds
• Follow and safety procedures per training manual
• Keep complete and accurate records and logs of all driving and deliveries
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Loading

• Load and unload trucks as needed

Customer Service/Cash on Delivery

• Provide quality customer service during every interaction
• Collect and handle cash on deliveries

Requirements

• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Must pass E-verify, have authorization to work in the U.S.A.
• 1 year of prior work experience as a Box Truck Delivery Driver
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check (Clean Background, Not Felon Friendly)
• Must be able to pass a drug screening (THC is part of the drug screen).
• 21 years of age or older
• Forklift experience
• Ability to work accurately with lengthy part numbers.
• Above average scanning accuracy
• AI Assertions and safe operating procedures
• Neat and well organized
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights of 25 feet.
• Work on feet for extended periods of time
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Basic computer/RF scanner experience
• Move product by pulling and pushing, lifting and or pushing product, lifting and or pushing product that weighs up to 80 pounds.
• Move product in tight spaces using hand tools or equipment.
• Lift and move products using hand tools or equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
