Retail Sales Associate

A2Z Science & Learning Toy Store is looking for an outgoing and dynamic person who can easily engage with customers, do retail sales, and embody the positive attitude & playfulness we uphold at A2Z!

What You’ll Do

• Ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for all customers in store.

• Maintain an upbeat, positive, and fun interaction with every customer.

• Operate Point of Sale system, scanners, and credit card/debit card terminals.

• Be knowledgeable of our store layout and be able to direct customers or make suggestions.

• Restock product sold in various categories day to day.

• Handle all transactions in a quick, efficient manner.

• Be empowered to resolve all customer issues with kindness and a can-do attitude.

• Be able to answer customer questions and provide accurate information on all procedures and policies.

• Receive payments by cash, credit/debit card, and Gift Card.

• Wrap and bag all purchases with care for all customers.

What We’ll Expect You to Have:

• A sense of whimsy, a nostalgia for toys, and a fondness for interacting with children.

• Desire to play games and have fun.

• Previous experience in a retail store or as a cashier recommended (but not required).

• Positive, helpful attitude towards employees and customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately.

• Ability to process coupons, refunds, gift cards, and checks.

• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and twisting and standing for long periods of time.

• Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards, and register receipts.

We are giving priority to someone ideally looking for full time work (4 to 5 days per week) versus part time. But we will look at all applications and consider.
