a2z Physical Therapy is seeking an experienced, compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team providing in-home physical therapy services throughout Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
You will work closely with our Physical Therapists to help patients recovering from orthopedic conditions regain function, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most.
A Flexible PTA Position Built Around Patient Care
- Provide individualized care in the patient’s home without managing multiple patients simultaneously.
- Choose your availability and weekly visit volume. Whether you are looking for a few visits per week or would like to build a larger caseload, we will work with your schedule.
- Receive clear plans of care and ongoing communication from the supervising Physical Therapist, along with support from an administrative team that assists with scheduling and patient coordination.
- Complete focused treatment notes using our electronic medical record system.
Pay Per Visit
Routine treatment visits start at $60 per visit, with opportunities for increased compensation based on experience, performance, travel, and additional responsibilities.
As our practice continues to grow, there is potential for expanded responsibilities and future full-time opportunities for clinicians who consistently provide excellent patient care and timely documentation.
Responsibilities
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, balance training, gait training, and home exercise programs.
• Monitor the patient’s response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately and promptly document each treatment visit in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote safety, independence, and recovery.
• Travel to patient homes within your preferred coverage area.
Qualifications
• Current Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• At least one year of orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Comfort using electronic medical records.
