Remote - Sales Development Representative (SDR)
We are an internet marketing agency in Northern NJ working with small to medium-sized home service businesses and franchises to optimize their paid, local, and organic results on Google, Bing & Facebook. In addition to our marketing services, we also develop and maintain proprietary software solutions — including an online scheduling platform and revenue attribution software.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to spearhead our lead-generation efforts by identifying, researching, and qualifying new opportunities in the home services sector. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape and is comfortable initiating contact with business owners and decision-makers in a professional, compelling manner.
This position offers full remote flexibility, with the option to work from our Pompton Plains, NJ office if preferred.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and research potential client companies (e.g., garage door repair, HVAC, plumbing) through various channels, including industry directories, online tools, social media, and market intelligence.
- Outreach: Execute high-volume, targeted outreach campaigns via phone, email, and professional networking platforms to introduce our services and qualify prospects.
- Communication: Ability to conduct outbound calling campaigns confidently and professionally. Should be customer service-oriented with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Qualification: Assess prospect needs, budget, and readiness to purchase to determine if they are a good fit for our digital marketing solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of our core services and software solutions. This includes keeping up to date with the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape within the home services sector.
- Scheduling: Successfully set qualified appointments and hand off warm leads to the management team for further engagement and closing.
- Database Management: Accurately log all prospecting activities, updates, and key information into our CRM system.
- Market Feedback: Collaborate with the team to share insights on market trends, competitor activity, and prospect feedback to continually refine our targeting and messaging.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales development, business development, or prospecting role, preferably in B2B or agency environments.
- Familiarity with the home services or home improvement industry is a significant plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate a clear value proposition.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting and exceeding targets.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales engagement tools.
- Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to automate workflows and scale efforts.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts, including paid advertising (PPC/SEM), social media marketing, and lead generation.
- Experience with Google Ads

- Base Salary $55,000-$75,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Uncapped Commission: performance-based compensation
