a2b Fulfillment is a fast-growing, third-party provider of distribution support services, including Order Fulfillment, Contact Center Solutions, and a vast array of Value-Added services. We are currently recruiting for the position of Utility Associate for our Ogden location.
Position Summary:
The Utilities Associate is responsible for being fully trained in all of the warehouse positions. They will be responsible for supporting any team that is in need of an additional hand. This role will consist of the following: picking, packing, shipping, receiving, material handling, returns, VAS (kitting), quality control, and inventory. In other words, the person in this position will be considered the jack of all trades. We would be able to put you anywhere and you’re able to get the job done.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND AND DRUG SCREENING
Responsibilities:
Picking/Packing:
- Fulfill orders using a RF scanner and voice picking headset to pick correct items off of the shelves and place them in correct box
- Using a computer, scanner, and printer equipped with our pack out software to pack order in appropriate packaging
- Confirming accuracy of orders by scanning items before packaging
Shipping/Sorter:
- Shipping all packages that need to be shipped manually
- Addressing shipping issues if packages fail automated shipping process
- Using shipping software requiring commercial invoices to be filled out and entering correct weight and dimensions for packages
- Ensuring accuracy with label print quality
- Sorting and loading trucks.
Receiving:
- Performing and managing inbound/outbound shipments
- Checking for correct labels, case count, pallet count. weights, and locations of delivery.
- Verifying all incoming freight.
- Reporting any discrepancies with various departments regarding product condition, packing slips, and receiver reports.
VAS:
- Kitting, Assembly, Refurbishment, Retail Preparation, Repackaging, Labeling, Ticketing and other similar tasks for shipping
Inventory:
- Support the operation by overseeing daily cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Communicate discrepancies found to management
- Provide solutions and support for solving discrepancies
- Continually meet assigned cycle count standards
- Maintain a quality of work that limits miss-counts
- Execute and document inspections per SOP
Material Handling:
- Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots in pallet racking.
- Identify product to be selected, sorted and placed
- Follow aisle specifications for product sorting and placement
- Properly enter assigned product for each shift into the system.
- Maintain a quality of work that limits miss-picks, shorts and damages.
Experience:
- Forklift Operator – 1 year (preferred)
- Warehouse experience – 2 years (preferred)
- Worked in receiving and inventory
Requirements/ Minimum Skills and Conditions of Employment:
- Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
- Continually meet assigned production standards.
- Trained and certified to operate any required equipment
- Comply with company attendance policies
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Must be a team player with organizational skills
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs
- Be able to be on your feet all day.
- Work at a fast pace.
- Be 18 years or older
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
