Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate safety eyewear based on their prescriptions, workplace needs, and personal preferences
- Take precise measurements of patients’ eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of glasses
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and record handling
Experience
- Proven experience working as an optician or in an optical retail environment with a strong understanding of optical experience and retail math
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health, anatomy, physiology, and medical billing processes
- Prior exposure to HIPAA compliance standards and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
