What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at A1 Works in Progress Associates, LLC?
Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is seeking an Inspector to become an integral part of our team! This position will work on-site at Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) projects within New York City’s five boroughs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in any of the following areas: Water systems, tunneling construction or bridge rehabilitation and new construction or wastewater construction experience is preferred.
- Experience working with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is required
- A driver's license valid in New York State.
- Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office (including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide all services necessary and required for inspection, supervision, management, coordination, and administration of the Project.
- Oversee the work of the construction contractor to ensure that work is properly executed, completed in a timely fashion and conforms to the requirements of the construction documents and to good construction practice.
- The position is in-person at the project location.
- Review contractor submittals for quality, compliance, and completeness.
- Provide technical support on all issues.
