What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finishing room/ Painter position at A1 Woodworking?
Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishes, coatings, and paint to various components and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. We do a mixture of painted and stained cabinetry and will be trained on both. We utilize both an airless sprayer and a HVLP system for spraying paint, and and air assist sprayer for varnish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using airless paint spraying equipment.
- Conduct inspections of finished work for quality assurance, checking for consistency in color, texture, and finish quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by handling materials properly and adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with painting/finishing equipment.
- Attention to detail and consistency is a must.
- The ability to stay on task and be self guided after instruction.
- Familiarity with basic power tools is a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
