Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Epoxy Flooring Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality epoxy coatings to various flooring surfaces, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and safety standards are met. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing existing floors to ensure proper adhesion of epoxy coatings
- Mix and apply epoxy resins, primers, sealers, and topcoats according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately measure and plan flooring layouts and installations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation, application, and finishing tasks
- Perform flooring installation tasks including tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed
- Conduct water damage restoration and floor care procedures to repair or enhance existing epoxy floors
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress for quality assurance
Skills
- Construction estimating skills to assess project scope and material needs
- Extensive construction site experience with a focus on flooring installation and restoration projects
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools such as scrapers, grinders, trowels, caulking guns, and measuring devices
- Experience in tile laying, cabinet installation, carpentry, concrete finishing, remodeling and construction painting
- Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques specific to flooring surfaces
- Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of epoxy coatings
- Skilled in the use of power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Understanding of schematics for fixture installation or other embedded components within flooring projects
- Experience with the restoration industry or handyman work is a plus but not required
