Duties
- Conduct comprehensive wheel alignments on standard passenger cars, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles using state-of-the-art alignment equipment.
- Diagnose and repair automotive engine systems, including diesel engines and powertrain components, ensuring vehicles operate at peak efficiency.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems related to vehicle alignment sensors and ADAS features.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with vehicle systems affecting alignment or handling performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs such as engine repairs, powertrain servicing, welding, and general mechanical repairs.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of vehicle components using appropriate power tools and safety procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring their vehicle’s safety and performance are restored efficiently.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with automotive repairs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics related to vehicle systems.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and automotive wiring interpretation.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair, engine technology, and powertrain maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge of auto body repair techniques, welding skills, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with a commitment to safety standards in vehicle maintenance operations.
