Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and power tools.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory, and surface specifications.
• Perform drywall finishing, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed for comprehensive renovation projects.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure efficient use of resources on each job site.
• Execute industrial painting tasks including surface preparation for heavy-duty coatings on large structures or machinery.
• Install fixtures and perform maintenance tasks such as caulking or fixture installation to complete the project seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of residential and commercial painting techniques.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding equipment, and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material planning.
• Experience with plastering, restoration work, remodeling projects, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, concrete finishing or masonry is highly desirable.
• Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols; prior construction site experience is essential.
