We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our hardware team. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product recommendations, and upselling items.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring that all merchandise is well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Perform stocking duties, including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and merchandising products on shelves.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math tasks to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to enhance store operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or hardware store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and phone etiquette.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking products is a plus.
